The life of Patrick Lynn Cagle, 35, of Rockingham, ended tragically, way too soon, as the result of a motor vehicle accident on the evening of Feb. 17, 2025.
Patrick was a roofer for Creed Garner Roofing, Inc. for many years, working alongside of his big brother, Nathan. Later, Patrick attended Scotland Community College for welding and had dreams of attending culinary school. He loved to cook.
Patrick always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. He loved listening to music, hunting and fishing with his big brother, Nathan, while growing up.
Patrick’s greatest achievements were his three children, Asa, Emma and Willa, whom he always told everyone about and his love for his babies! He truly cherished and always thanked God for them and their mother, Josie Renya.
He loved his family and friends and they loved him dearly. Patrick will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Patrick was preceded in death by his only brother, Nathan Robert Garner; paternal grandparents, Melvin and Faye Cagle; maternal grandfather, Silas Quick; maternal great-grandparents, Silas “Dude” and Alma Quick; and aunt, Janet Quick.
Left to cherish Patrick’s memory are his children, Asa, Emma and Willa Cagle; mother and stepfather, Susan and Israel Martinez of Hamlet; father, Tony Cagle of Ellerbe; grandmother, Mary Quick of Hamlet; sister-in-law, April Garner; nephews, Landon, Cayden and Trent Garner; uncles, Willie Richard Cagle and Melvin Cagle; aunts, Angela “Sissy” Davis, Lori Warren, Lynda Quick, Betsy Locklear (David); and many cousins and extended family.
A service to celebrate Patrick’s life will be held privately by the family.
