Patsy "Pat" Goodman passed away on Aug. 7, 2025 at her home in Weddington.
She was born in Hamlet in 1932, and her parents were John and Essie Brigman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Goodman; siblings, Howard Brigman, Richard Brigman, Bob Brigman, Toady Brigman and Mickey Milham.
She is survived by her children, Alisa Taylor (John) and Vickie Hale (Frank); three grandsons, Dylan, Ian and Connor Hale; and three great-grandchildren, Liam Hale, and Elise and Langdon Taylor; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a devoted military wife and mother and lived in Bermuda, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Phoenix, Arizona, Rockingham, Camden, South Carolina, and Weddington.
She loved her family and had a daily phone call routine to make sure everyone was well and behaving appropriately. She enjoyed reading on her Kindle Fire and was an excellent embroiderer. She was a dedicated Atlanta Braves fan and supported the Carolina Panthers. She never missed America’s Got Talent. Her favorite thing to do was to host family dinners for her extended family at Christmas and on special occasions. She will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. at Richmond Memorial Park. Ricky Shelley will be officiating.
