Ralph Edward McLean, 94, of Rockingham, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 24, 2025 at Richmond County Hospice Haven, surrounded by family.
Ralph was born in Richmond County on Nov. 1, 1931, son of the late Edward and Essie Kennedy McLean.
He retired from Burlington industries, where he spent many years as a fixer. He was a member of Cordova United Methodist Church.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Buck McLean, and sister, Viola King.
Surviving is his loving wife of 76 years, Gertrude Johnson McLean; children, Tony (Norma) Mclean and Sandra (Ed) Ussery; grandchildren, Candi (Clifton) Boney and Erica Chavis; great-grandchildren Jackson, Andrew, Harris, Dalton and Brantley. He also leaves behind an additional seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at McDonald Baptist Church Cemetery.
