Rebecca “Becky” Hodges Todd, 81, of Hamlet, passed away Aug. 9, 2025, peacefully at home with her family at her bedside.
She was born March 19, 1944, a daughter of the late Randolph Hodges Sr. and Addie Jane Norton Hodges.
Becky was a devoted Christian, wife and mother. She always loved her pets: Fritz, Babygirl and Ozzie. Her most recent and beloved Marky was with her every step of her end-of-life journey. She enjoyed watching baseball, tennis and the Olympics.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Douglas “Doug” Todd; and her siblings, Jessie Hodges, Mary Watts, William "Bunk" Hodges, Randolph "Poo" Hodges Jr., Ralph "Rabbit" Hodges, James Everett Hodges, Kathleen Hodges Barrett and Claude “Buddy” Hodges.
She is survived by her children, Monica Horne of Matthews, Julia (Ronald) Brigman of Rockingham and Anthony (Karen) Todd of Rockingham; grandchildren, Tyler (Darby) Horne, Rebecca Horne, Ronald (Wendy) Brigman Jr., Krista Todd, DeWayne (Tiffany) Jacques, Damien (Clarissa) Todd and Justin (Mariah) Todd; great-grandchildren, Madison, Cali, Mallory, Aria, Josie, Peyton, Wesley and Colton; great-great grandchild Walker; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet with Pastor Larry Frye officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025 from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
