Sandra Brown Martin, 88, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026 at Scotia Village in Laurinburg.

She was born Jan. 22, 1938 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Lester L. and Elizabeth Tanner Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin H. “Spec” Martin; sister, Beth Brown Peek; and a brother, Jimmy Brown.

Sandra was a homemaker. Throughout their marriage, Sandra and Spec loved traveling to various states in their RV, often inviting family to go on their adventures. Many happy memories were made on those adventures and in time spent at their home at Sunset Beach. Sandra enjoyed spending time with family, attending church services at The Church of Christ (Aberdeen), afternoon car rides, shopping for antiques and collectibles, and shopping in general- especially at Belk’s.

Sandra had a loving nature, great spirit, and positive outlook on life. She loved her family beyond measure. Having no children of her own, Sandra helped care for and raise nephews Tim, Shawn, and Jarrett. She loved them unconditionally and greatly influenced their lives.
