Sean Gregory McDonald, 40, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024.
He was born Oct. 14, 1984, in Rockingham, son of Laura Deese Dick and Charles Gregory McDonald.
Sean served our country in the Army National Guard. He had a profound love of music, especially playing the guitar, and enjoyed his “jam outs.” He was a good-hearted, compassionate man and enjoyed making everyone laugh. Sean was also known for having aspirations, ideas, and plans throughout his life.
Sean loved hard and was a loving, devoted father. He will be missed greatly by his family who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Erlene McDonald, and Jimmy Deese.
Sean is survived by his parents, Laura and Mike Dick of Hamlet, and Greg McDonald of Rockingham; fiancé, Brittany Hill of the home; children, Mackenzie Hill, Lillian Hill and Winston McDonald; grandparents, Joann Roberts of Hamlet, and Larry and Carolyn Dick of Marston; sister, Jewel Melton (Kyle) of Wilmington; and brothers, Michael Dick (Amber) of Hamlet and Charles “Mac” McDonald of Rockingham.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet.
The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home. Burial will be held private.
