Shelby “Dianne” Raines, 67, of Rockingham, passed away in her home, Dec. 24, 2024.
Dianne was a daughter of Shirley Mabe Heaton, and the late Robert Heaton Sr. Dianne was born Oct. 11, 1957 in Rockingham and she was raised in Ellerbe.
Along with her father, she is preceded in death by her, brother Robert Heaton Jr.; and her beloved granny, Beaulah Mae Leviner.
Dianne was a crafty woman that took pride in her crocheting skills. She loved Elvis, her dogs and watching true crime shows. For many years, Dianne worked as a dispatcher for Hamlet Police Department. Her family will cherish the memories of her unique spirit.
Dianne is survived by her husband of nearly 48 years, Arnold “A.B.” Raines; children Alex Raines and Brittany Wise (Ryan); and granddaughter Riley Ann Raines.
The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
