Sherry Andrews Greene, 64, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026 at her home.
She was born Dec. 2, 1961, in Richmond County, daughter of the late Frank and Peggy Barrett Andrews.
Sherry worked in textiles for many years. She enjoyed many simple pleasures in life, including listening to Elvis Presley, attending rodeos, and watching "Days of Our Lives." She enjoyed crocheting and would give those works of her hands to her family and friends.
Above all else, Sherry cherished her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and who held a special place in her heart.
Along with her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Greene; sons, Derrick Richard Sparks and Josh Greene; sister, Penny McDonald; and a baby brother.
Left to cherish her memories is her significant other, Mike Benoist; son, Charles Richard Sparks (Rebecca) of Rockingham; daughter-in-law, Holly Sparks of Rockingham; grandchildren, Ethan Sparks, Derrick Michael Sparks, Cohan Sparks and Sullivan Sparks; brother, Buster Andrews (Sheila) of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
A time of gathering will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 5-7 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet.
