Baby Sophia Madeline Brooks, precious infant daughter of Kaitlyn McKenzie Brooks, peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026.
She was born Nov. 27, 2025, in Pineville.
Sophia was a happy, peaceful baby and was the little sister to Noah and Oliver.
She is survived by her mother, Kaitlyn Brooks of the home; brothers, Noah and Oliver Brooks of the home; maternal grandparents, Jennifer Brooks of Lancaster, South Carolina, and Charles Brooks of Oregon; great-grandmother, Judy Gemes of Waxhaw and great-grandfather, Richard Arnett (Barbara) of Carolina Beach; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026 at 2 p.m. at the Hamlet Church of God of Prophecy, Cheraw Road, with the Rev. Dean Dixon officiating.
