Tasha Kay DeBerry, 45, of Rockingham, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 at her home.

She was born Oct. 15, 1980 in Richmond County, daughter of Donnie Bizzle DeBerry and Crystal Hough DeBerry.

Tasha was a light in this world, and her loss is felt deeply by all who knew and loved her.

Tasha lived with a fierce and beautiful heart. She loved concerts, music, and the joy of being fully present in the moments that made life memorable. She gave unconditionally, loved hard and deeply, and never hesitated to stand up for people who needed support. Tasha was the kind of person who would fight for anyone, and for everything she believed was right in this world.

She was strong, compassionate, loyal, and fearless in the way she cared for others. Her love was not small or quiet. It was bold, genuine, and constant. She made people feel protected, seen, and valued, and that is a gift that will not be forgotten.

Tasha will be remembered for her beautiful spirit, her strength, her generosity, and the way she showed up for the people she loved. The memories she created, the love she gave, and the lives she touched will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Though words can never fully capture the depth of who she was, they can carry the truth that Tasha DeBerry was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed.

May she rest in peace, and may her memory continue to live on through the loved, courage, and loyalty she gave so freely.
