Terry Alan Greene, 62, of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
He was born Dec. 10, 1963 in Richmond County, son of Elvin Anerson Greene and the late Edith Perdue McCroskey.
Terry worked previously as an electrician. He enjoyed fishing with his father and brothers. He also enjoyed spending time watching classic television shows such as "The Andy Griffith Show" and "Gunsmoke." He enjoyed church and was known to give candy out to the congregation. He dearly loved his family and spending time with them. His passing is a transition from here to heaven.
Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Yancey; stepfather, John McCroskey; stepmother, Faye Greene; brother, Robbie Greene; stepbrother, Patrick Snead; brother-in-law, Lawrence Bruce III; sister-in-law, Judy Greene; nieces, Jennifer Mabe and Denise Autry; and nephew, Caleb Doss.
Terry is survived by his father, Elvin Anerson Greene of Rockingham; brothers, the Rev. Wayne Greene (Gail) of Corpus Christi, Texas, and the Rev. Charles Ray Greene of Rockingham; sister, Wanda Bruce of Mount Gilead; stepbrothers, David McCroskey of Maryland and Jonathan Snead of Rockingham; stepsisters, Roxanne Bradshaw of Rockingham, Amy Cox (Brent) of Rockingham, and Pam Beachum (Roger) of Marston; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from noon-1 p.m. at Abundant Life Church, Rockingham.
The funeral service will begin immediately following visitation, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Joe B. Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow at Northam Cemetery.
At other times, the family will receive friends at his father’s home, 114 Joyce St., Rockingham.
