Timothy Dane Young, 70, of Rockingham, passed away peacefully Feb. 15, 2026 at Hospice Haven House in Rockingham.
Tim was born Dec. 10, 1955 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, to the late Kenneth M. Young and Donna Jean Luck.
He attended Duval High School in Seabrook Maryland and the University of Maryland. Tim was a proud veteran who served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a broadcast engineer with a Christian radio network and built stations all over the USA. Tim enjoyed both installing and operating sound systems in churches. He was an amateur chef who loved cooking for family and friends. Tim was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
He was married to his beloved wife of 48 years, Jackie Elaine Young. Also left to cherish his memory are his sister, Darlene Myers of Prince Frederick, Maryland; stepmother, Thelma Young of Rogersville, Tennessee; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Hatcher Road, Rockingham. Officiating are Pastor Travis Wilkerson and the Rev. David Lee. Burial will be private.
