Trudy Hammond Arner, age 75, of Rockingham, went to her heavenly home on March 27, 2025, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Rockingham campus.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life David Arner Jr.
Trudy is survived by her son, David Arner III and his wife Tracy of Rockingham; granddaughter, Katelynn Dee Arner of Rockingham; and grandson, James D. Helton of Rockingham.
Trudy graduated from Rockingham High School. She worked for Richmond Memorial Hospital and later for FirstHealth Home Care, until she retired. Trudy was an avid animal lover and enjoyed gardening.
A public viewing without the family present will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham. A service to honor her life will be held privately with family and friends.
