Vicky Howell Reeder, 73, of Rockingham, passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2023 at her home.
She was born April 30, 1950, in Troy, daughter of the late Yancy Howell and Mildred Sherrin Howell.
Vicky was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Rockingham. In her earlier years, she worked in sewing and knitting in the textile industry. However, for more than 19 years, she was her daughter Tammy’s sidekick delivering newspapers. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. She enjoyed the beach, cooking, and helping people.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Yancy and Mildred Howell.
Vicky is survived by her daughters, Tammy Reeder-Patrick (Jeff) and Lisa Smith, all of Rockingham; and her four beloved granddaughters, Shawntel Reeder, Daisha Reeder, Jenna Patrick and Jori Patrick.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023 from 11 a.m.-noon at Faith Free Will Baptist Church.
The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at noon, with the Rev. David Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.
