Virgil Calvin Bowler, 58, of Hamlet, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Richmond.
He was born July 4, 1966, in Salisbury, son the of the late Arthur Edward Bowler Sr. and Betty Jo Bowler.
Virgil was an avid musician who loved to play the drums, and was dedicated to playing at his church, Xalt Church, Laurel Hill. He was an animal lover, especially loving cats. He was a quiet but caring man who was faithful to his church and to his Lord.
Virgil is survived by his daughters, Kristin Van Horn (Zac) of Laurinburg and Savannah Bowler of Hamlet; grandchildren, Gavyn, Levi and Olivia; brother, Arthur Bowler Jr. (Lawana) of Hamlet; sister, Mary Alice Jacobs (Jake) of Greenville.
No formal services are planned at this time.
