Wanda Carole Hall, 69, passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 4, 2024 surrounded by her family after a brave fight with cancer.
She was born Sept. 9, 1954 in Fort Dix, New Jersey, and spent most of her life residing in Rockingham. Carole loved nothing more than spending time with her family and beloved dogs as well as tending to her beautiful flowers and garden.
Carole is survived by her fiancé, Tommy Helton; son, Robert Britt III (Dana); daughters, Diane Leggett (Bryan) and Krista Barfield; sisters, Diane Braddock and Brenda Rainwater; grandchildren, Cody, Kayley, Caroline, Mackenzie and Anna; niece, Wendy; and nephews, Timmy, Shaun and Kevin.
Carole was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Moody; father, Arthur Hall; brother, Arthur Hall Jr.; niece, Kimberly Braddock; and brother-in-law, Robbie Braddock.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024 at Watson King Funeral Home in Hamlet and other times at 123 W. Ballard St. in Ellerbe. A graveside funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Steven Gilmer, will immediately follow at Richmond County Memorial Park Cemetery.
