William Cleveland “Bill” Andrews, 80, of Hamlet passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
He was born on July 15, 1944 in Richmond County, a son of the late Frank Porter and Mary Elizabeth Richardson Andrews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Frank Wilson Andrews; niece, Sonja Stewart; and a nephew, Michael DeBerry.
Growing up, Bill worked in his dad’s junk business where he handled the concession stand. He worked for several years in the textile industry. He really enjoyed watching the seasons changing and watching game shows on television. Bill was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 4 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlet with his nephew, Andy Stewart, officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Surviving, his sisters, Mildred Louise Stewart of Rockingham and Bonnie Callahan of Laurel Hill; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
