Woodrow “Woody” Lee McGee, 62, of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025 at his home.
He was born May 14, 1963, in Richmond County, son of Margaret “Maggie” Coble McGee and the late Clifton Wayne McGee.
Woody had a love for the outdoors, especially camping in the mountains and fishing. He was known for being quite the handyman and seemed to be able to do just about anything with painting, carpentry, and electrical, just to name a few. Woody also enjoyed making people laugh. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton Wayne McGee.
Left to cherish Woody’s memories are his wife, Robin McGee of the home; mother, Margaret “Maggie” McGee; children, Hunter Farris (Roger), Christopher McGee and Summer McGee-Gil de Lamadrid; stepdaughter, Brittany McGartlin (Samuel); grandchildren, Grayson McGee, Wyatt McGee, Rayne Marie Gil de Lamadrid, Izayah Gil de Lamadrid; five grand-pets; brothers, Wade McGee (Trish), Charles McGee and Phillip McGee; five nieces and nephews and four great-nephews; and his beloved dog, Milo.
The family will hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
