ROCKINGHAM-  Local politicians came out to Pattan’s Downtown Grille Monday Night to enjoy discussion with members of the Chamber of Commerce.  The event was sponsored by SOS CZ-Office Business Solutions and included the usual delicious food of Pattan’s.

There were numerous elected officials present and the event gave attendees an opportunity to speak with them directly in a low key setting.  In addition to legislative members in attendance, local members of  the Rockingham City Council, the Richmond County Board of Commissioners and the Richmond County School Board were also present.

Ken Hartley, Chairman of the Board for the Chamber and vice-president of North Carolina Operations for Therafirm in Hamlet, was Emcee for the evening and noted, “We are happy to have a very nice turn out tonight…this is a meet and greet in a very informal setting to give you a chance to talk with your elected officials.”

After a quick round of introductions of elected officials in attendance, Hartley wrapped up and left the remainder of the event to the attendees for one-on-one and small group discussions.

Following the event, Emily Tucker, president of the Richmond County Chamber of Commerce, had this to say: “This being our inaugural legislative reception, we were very pleased with the attendance. Our members enjoyed networking with elected officials in a relaxed atmosphere. We are excited to host this event next year.”
