ROCKINGHAM — The Lady Raider softball team got its first Mid-South Conference win of the season in a big way Friday.
Thanks to a complete game from Madison Hancock, and a fast start at the plate, the Lady Raiders defeated Pine Forest High School 16-2 in five innings.
The mercy-rule win split the season series with the Lady Trojans.
Hayden Robinson hit her fifth longball of the season. Jorja Moore slapped a triple and two doubles, with Claire Clark adding a double and a triple.
Richmond scored six runs in the first inning and kept the offense going.
The Lady Raiders (3-7, 1-1 MSC) will travel to non-conference Scotland High School (5-6) Monday and start at 6 p.m.
