The Lambeth family welcomed family, friends and neighbors Saturday evening for the annual Derby Christmas.
The event, which has been a community tradition for more than a decade, was held at the Derby Store, formerly their Triple L Farms produce stand and included a dinner — with chicken and dumplings, ham biscuits and fried chicken — and several deserts.
Traditionally, the event has included live music. However, this year's Derby Christmas featured a prayer walk around the store and several games led by Marcia Lambeth.
One of the games involved passing small gifts around in a circle, based on the direction — left or right — used during a story. Others included blowing a plastic cup across the floor with a straw, trying to pick up a candy cane with another candy cane, tossing marshmallows from cup to cup, and trying to slide a cookie from the forehead into the mouth.
Earlier this season, Sue Jarvis performed Truman Capote's "A Christmas Memory" at the store. Click here to read that story and see photos from the performance.
