ROCKINGHAM — A three-peat was on deck for the Richmond Raider basketball team Friday, which won its third straight conference tournament championship.
Behind a running clock, the No. 1 Raiders ousted No. 2 Southern Lee High School 87-46.
Combining for 72 points were seniors Paul McNeil Jr. (42 points), Javian Drake (16 points) and Jamarion Wall (14 points).
Those three seniors have guided the Raiders to a 41-1 record against SAC teams the past three seasons. The only loss was a regular-season defeat to Pinecrest High School during the 2021-22 campaign.
The Raiders (21-5) finished the regular season with the second-best RPI in the 4A East. The NCHSAA will release its final playoff brackets later Saturday.
