KERNERSVILLE — A four-run sixth inning for Hamlet erased a one-run deficit Friday.
The Post 49 baseball team earned a 5-2 non-conference win on the road at Lexington Post 8.
Pitching a complete game and getting the win was John Carre, who struck out five batters. Both of the runs he allowed were unearned.
Riley Brown started Hamlet’s scoring with a sac fly in the top of the fourth. An RBI double by Carre, followed by an RBI single from Caden Nolan, gave Hamlet the lead for good in the sixth.
Jason Walker barreled up a two-RBI base hit in the sixth to provide insurance runs.
