HAMLET — Scoring all of its runs in the later innings Friday, the Hamlet American Legion baseball team couldn’t extend its winning streak.
At home against non-conference Union County Post 535, Hamlet suffered a 5-3 defeat.
Caden Nolan was 3-for-3 at the dish with a single, double and a triple to go with one run batted in. Evan Hodges had a single, Hamlet’s only other hit.
Driving in a run apiece were Isaac Hinshaw (RBI groundout) and Jacob Williams (sacrifice fly).
