HAMLET — The second-ever Raider Athletics Hall of Fame class was inducted Wednesday at Cole Auditorium.
A dozen of Richmond Senior High School’s greatest coaches, players and community supporters were celebrated and recognized for their achievements in high school, as well as afterward.
Inducted this year were coaches Charlie Bishop and Wayne Williams, legacy members Charlie Brownley and Bunny Lee Wall, and players Summer Burgess, Charlie Davis, Dannell Ellerbe, Chuck McLean, Pamela Morrison, Nikki Wells Smith, Michael Waddell, and Perry Williams.

Each inductee was presented with a commemorative plaque and given a Jostens ring with a Hall of Fame design with the Raider diamond.
The Raider Athletic Hall of Fame held its first induction in 2023, also a 12-member class.
The project was started by former principal Jim Butler and was continued on by current principal Joyce McRae and athletic director James Johnson.
