LAURINBURG — A third-quarter run helped the Richmond Senior High School boys’ basketball team to its third straight win to start the season Tuesday.
On the road at non-conference Scotland High School, the Raiders defeated the Fighting Scots 83-72.
A 15-2 run in the final 3:30 of the third quarter opened what was a three-point lead for Richmond into a 70-56 advantage at the end of the third quarter.
Nine players scored in the win for the Raiders, including single-game career-highs for senior Amer Morrison (21 points), freshman Cam’ron Coley (14 points) and sophomore Donovan Jones (12 points).
Senior Jayden Hamilton was Richmond’s fourth double-digit scorer, finishing with 17 points.

Richmond (3-0) will host Scotland (3-1) Friday to close out the non-conference series. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
