ROCKINGHAM — A trio of runs in the middle innings helped the Richmond Raider baseball team walk it off Friday night.
Closing its three-game season series sweep over Hoke County High School, the Raiders won the Mid-South Conference game 4-3 in eight innings.
Jake Veach had the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the eighth with the bases loaded.
In the fifth inning, Veach tripled and cut into a 3-0 deficit when he scored on a wild pitch. An RBI triple by Maddox Locklear and an RBI base knock from Caden Nolan in the same inning tied the game.
