ROCKINGHAM — It’s pretty easy to win baseball games when your pitchers hang zeroes in the runs and hits columns.
That was the case for the second straight game for the Richmond Raiders Friday, which defeated Pine Forest High School 10-0 in five innings.
Devin Haynes threw Richmond’s second five-inning no-hitter against the Trojans this week. Caden Nolan started the terrific run of pitching in Tuesday’s win.
Richmond led 4-0 through three innings and scored four runs in the fourth. Two more runs in the fifth walked it off.
Evan Hodges had a pair of doubles and drove in two runs batted in to lead the team at the plate. Noah Stubbs added a triple, and Nolan and Drew Guase each had a double.
The Raiders (8-3, 6-1) have a two-game series with Jack Britt next week. Tuesday’s game will be on the road, followed by a home game Thursday. Both games will start at 7 p.m.
