HAMLET — Mercy-ruling its opponent Thursday, the Hamlet American Legion baseball team ended the regular season with three straight wins.
Sweeping Liberty Post 81 in its two-game regular-season series, Post 49 earned a 10-0 win in five innings.
Caden Nolan threw a complete game shutout and had 12 strikeouts. He got run support when the 49ers scored six runs in the bottom of the second inning.
Thursday’s game was also “Rally for Riley” night, which raised money for former player and teammate Riley Brown, who was diagnosed with lymphoma in May.
