SOUTHERN PINES — The Richmond Senior High School boys and girls track and field teams had representatives competing in Saturday’s NCHSAA 4A Mideast regional meet.
Both squads had individual and relay team qualifiers participating at Pinecrest High School.
Two Raiders, senior Tyrene McKenzie and junior Aaron Coleman, punched tickets to the 4A state championship meet.
McKenzie qualified in the triple jump (third place) and the high jump (fourth place), while Coleman took third overall in the 110-meter hurdles.
Both Raiders made states last season and Coleman will return for the third consecutive season.
