ROCKINGHAM — The first senior day of the spring sports season was held at Richmond Senior High School Tuesday.
Ahead of breaking in the newly laid track, Richmond’s boys’ and girls’ track and field teams recognized 20 total seniors.
This year’s seniors were, in the order of how they were called at senior day: Ka’mora Watkins, Emma Williams, Kynaria Wall, Jasiah Gilchrist, Jaquial Baldwin, Esaias Brunson, Zai’aier Chambers, Tyrese Collins, Angel Cristobal, Jason Gainey, Daylyn Robinson, Jayden Hamilton, Jordan Hamilton, Robert Monroe, Amer Morrison, Keonta Pegues, Elijah Shaw, Chamaure Shaw, Christian Surgent and Domonic Tillman.
Seniors walked from the field house to the 50-yard line of the football field and were escorted by parents, family members, friends and classmates. A short bio for each student-athlete was read by public address announcer Arthur Gilliam.
