David Robert Brigman, 34, of Rockingham, was arrested on multiple warrants Wednesday, Nov. 12 — including one issued more than two months ago.
According to the latest warrant, issued to the Rockingham Police Department the day he was arrested, Brigman was caught with 9 grams of fentanyl, digital scales, plastic baggies and glass pipes.
He was charged with: trafficking in opium or heroin; possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Oct. 16, Brigman allegedly stole a Yamaha Jet Ski and Ford Mustang from the same person. A warrant, issued to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, charging him with two misdemeanor counts of larceny of a motor vehicle was issued Oct. 29.
The Aberdeen Police Department obtained a warrant on Sept. 18 charging Brigman with one misdemeanor count each of larceny and possession of stolen goods or property for allegedly stealing 10 ribeye steaks from Harris Teeter on Sept. 3.
Richmond County Jail records show Brigman also has probation violation in superior court.
Brigman is being held on a combined $116,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Richmond County District Court on Dec. 4 and Moore County District Court on Dec. 3.
Records with the N.C. Department of Adult Correction list Brigman as a probation absconder.
He was convicted in August on a felony count of larceny of a motor vehicle from 2024 and given an 18-month suspended sentence. Online court records show he was also found guilty on two counts of fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle with aggravating factors. Several other charges and traffic citations were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
