DOBBINS HEIGHTS — A man is facing two assault charges after allegedly stabbing two people Friday evening.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the area of Winona Street in Dobbins Heights the evening of Feb. 20 in reference to a stabbing victim.
When deputies arrived, they reportedly found a second victim with a stab wound.
Both victims were airlifted to a trauma center for treatment of their injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. Their names have not yet been released.
Investigators have charged Jonathan Fitzgerald Jenkins with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He is being held without bond in the Richmond County Jail.
As of midnight, Jenkins did not appear in online jail records, nor were the warrants available in online court records.
The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
