ROCKINGHAM — Two out-of-county homicide suspects were reportedly taken into custody southwest of Hamlet Friday afternoon.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, investigators and members of the RCSO Special Response Team executed a “high-risk” search warrant at a home in the Sleepy Hollow Trailer Park off Battley Dairy Road.
The sheriff’s office said the operation was part of a homicide investigation from another county, but has not yet said where.
The names of the suspects — who were reportedly apprehended without incident — have not been released and, as of 3:48 p.m., there were no recent detainees in the Richmond County Jail with related charges. The RCSO also did not mention how many suspects there were.
The RO will report more details as they become available.
