ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a pursuit Tuesday afternoon that ended in a crash.
According to the sheriff’s office, the chase route included Graham Bridge and Ledbetter roads, eventually ending in a wreck on U.S. 1 S across from Mount Olive Church Road.
There was reportedly only one occupant in the vehicle.
At this time, the nature of the initial traffic stop attempt and the name of the suspect are both unknown.
The sheriff's office says there is currently no threat to the public.
