HAMLET — Richard Allen Davis, 56, of Hamlet, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Richmond Pines Healthcare, Hamlet.
He was born Jan. 13, 1965, son of the late Harry Leon Davis Sr. and Linda Covington Williams.
Richard was a self-employed carpenter. He had a great sense of humor, loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. Fishing with his son was one of his favorite pastimes.
He was preceded in death by his dad; and a brother, Harry Leon Davis Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Williams of Hamlet; daughter, Rita Davis of Anderson, South Carolina; son, John Davis (Jenna) of Hamlet; brothers, Mark Davis of Hamlet; sisters, Tammy Lampley (David) and Margaret Davis, both of Rockingham; 10 grandchildren; and niece, Kristin Parker.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church. Pastor Darwin Cook will be officiating.
