ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 9 at 10 a.m. to celebrate the opening of Esquivel’s Accessories Etc.
Esquivel’s Accessories Etc. is a small business that offers sterling silver jewelry, T-shirt designs, and a variety of accessories. Custom orders are available and completed in a timely manner (vinyl only).
Chamber President and CEO Kristi King welcomed attendees, highlighting the excitement for new businesses in Richmond County and partnering with the Chamber before introducing Rockingham Mayor John Hutchinson.
“I’m excited to be here today because these are my neighbors,” Hutchinson said. “This is just a really awesome little shop for downtown Rockingham, and that is what’s bringing downtown Rockingham back to life: the shops and shopkeepers who really keep bringing people down here and giving them options to buy things locally.”
Richmond County Commissioner Jamie Gathings expressed his appreciation to Esquivel’s Accessories for opening their doors and contributing to the local economy, stating, “This just brings back great memories — seeing these places come back to life.”
Owner Vaneza Esquivel was highly appreciative of the support from the City of Rockingham, Richmond County, and the Richmond County Chamber of Commerce, as well as the attendees and her loyal customers.
La Suerte De Sake’s Food Truck is partnering with Esquivel’s Accessories and will set up Tuesday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 211 E. Washington St., Rockingham, offering customers a complete dine-and-shop experience.
