ROCKINGHAM — A man is facing drug and weapon charges after allegedly being caught with nearly 50 grams of meth.
According to warrants, deputies reportedly found 32-year-old Nastasia Exzavis Equality Hubbard, of Rockingham, in possession of 48.7 grams of methamphetamine and .42 grams of fentanyl on March 7.
(Note: Records show Hubbard's first middle name with various spellings.)
Deputies also reportedly found a Springfield 9mm, both a glass pipe and zip-up bag with residue, and set of scales.
Hubbard was arrested and charged with: trafficking in methamphetamine; maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance; possession of a firearm by a felon; carrying a concealed gun; possession of drug paraphernalia.
Court records show Hubbard was also issued a citation for driving while license revoked.
Hubbard was booked into the Richmond County Jail where he is being held on a combined $125,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court March 20 and a hearing on the citation is slated for May 20.
Records with the N.C. Department of Adult Correction show Hubbard was convicted of manslaughter in 2016. His probation was revoked in Rowan County in 2019 and he served three months behind bars and another three months in 2021.
While serving his second stint, Hubbard was charged in Rowan County with malicious conduct by a prisoner and convicted in 2022 — nine months after his release.
His probation on that conviction was revoked in 2023 when he was convicted on misdemeanor charges of receiving stolen goods and resisting an officer.
Hubbard was released from prison on Dec. 12, 2024 and is still on parole until Sept. 8.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
