Richmond County deputies charge woman with selling meth to informant

ROCKINGHAM — A woman is facing multiple drug charges after allegedly selling meth during controlled buys.

Mica Leigh Wicker Guinn, 41, of Rockingham, is accused of selling an unspecified quantity of methamphetamine to a confidential informant handled by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office on March 7 and 8.

On March 12, Guinn allegedly conspired with an unnamed individual to sell meth to the informant and is accused of defrauding the informant of $40.

Guinn allegedly had an unspecified quantity of meth, as well as two glass pipes and two straws on her person the day she was arrested —Monday, March 26.

Records show Guinn is charged with: three counts of possession of methamphetamine; two counts each of selling methamphetamine and delivering methamphetamine; and one count each of obtaining property by false pretense, conspiracy to sell methamphetamine, conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Guinn is being held in the Richmond County Jail on a combined $100,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court June 12.

Records with the N.C. Department of Adult Correction show Guinn’s only conviction in this state was in 2014 for  possession with intent to sell a Schedule III controlled substance.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
