ROCKINGHAM — Richmond County Rescue Mission, located at the Place of Grace campus, is honored to recognize The Village Chapel for their extraordinary generosity in providing a $20,000 donation that funded essential HVAC repairs in the men’s dormitory, kitchen, and cafeteria.
These critical upgrades ensure that residents and staff enjoy a safe, comfortable environment year-round — a vital part of the Mission’s work to help individuals transition from homelessness, addiction, and crisis to stability, independence, and renewed purpose.
Gary Richardson, president and CEO of Richmond County Rescue Mission, expressed his gratitude:
“This gift from The Village Chapel came at the perfect time. By funding these HVAC repairs, they have made our living and dining areas healthier, more comfortable, and better equipped to serve those who call Place of Grace home. It’s a gift that touches every resident, every day.”
The improvements benefit not only those living in the men’s dorm, but also all program participants and volunteers who share meals, classes, and fellowship in the cafeteria and kitchen.
The Village Chapel’s commitment to serving the community aligns closely with the Mission’s values of faith, restoration, and hope. Their investment ensures the Mission can continue to meet physical needs as it supports the emotional, vocational, and spiritual growth of residents.
