ROCKINGHAM — A woman wanted for failing to appear in court on drug charges was recently caught with more.
A warrant alleges that 42-year-old Tara Nicole Thomas, of South Street, was found Monday, June 30 with a pipe and an unspecified quantity of heroin and cocaine.
She was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as possession of heroin and felony possession of cocaine and is being held without bond.
Court records show Thomas was served with an order for arrest for reportedly missing her last court date on May 22 in a case from 2024 in which she is charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At the time of the previous arrest, Thomas was listed as being homeless.
Records show Thomas failed to appear several times in that case and a bond forfeiture notice was issued May 23.
Thomas is scheduled to appear in court July 10.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
