ROCKINGHAM — A woman out on bond after failing to appear in court is back in jail on drug charges.

A warrant issued to the Rockingham Police Department alleges that 31-year-old Krista Morgan Todd was in possession of an unspecified quantity of methamphetamine, a Suboxone strip and a half-ounce of marijuana, as well as a pipe and metal grinder on Jan. 5.

That was the same day Todd was arrested for failure to appear in court Dec. 4, 2025 on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a Sept. 20 arrest.

Court records show Todd’s bond was set at $100,000 secured on Jan. 14. Her next court appearance in both cases is scheduled for Jan. 15.

Records show Todd also failed to appear in court in November after being cited by an officer with the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commissioner for unlawfully camping and trespassing on game lands along the Pee Dee River in August 2025.

Records with the N.C. Department of Adult Correction show Todd was convicted in 2022 on felony charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and financial card fraud, as well as misdemeanor charges of larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
