ROCKINGHAM — Joining the flurry of athletic programs to offer summer workouts for local student-athletes is the Richmond Senior High School girls’ tennis team.

Announced by head coach Jessica Covington, the Lady Raiders will begin voluntary summer workouts following the program’s annual summer camp.

With the third annual summer camp beginning Monday and running through Wednesday, interested high school players will begin summer conditioning the week of June 23.

Covington said she hopes to grow the number of interested players and provide a chance for current and new players to work on their skills ahead of the fall season.

Each summer workout session will be held at Richmond’s tennis courts and go from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. each day.

Summer workout dates are as followed:

In order to participate, interested players must have a current or updated physical.
