Rockingham Parks & Recreation Announces Registrations for Summer Programs

ROCKINGHAM - The Rockingham Parks and Recreation Department has issued the following announcements regarding lifeguard training, summer day camp, and swimming lessons.

 

ROCKINGHAM PARKS AND RECREATION

LIFEGUARD TRAINING 2018

 

The City of Rockingham Parks and Recreation will conduct a Red Cross Certified Lifeguard Training Course beginning Monday, May 14th and concluding on Wednesday, May 23th.

 

The course will be conducted daily at the Browder Park Recreation Center.

 

Registration is limited and must be completed by May 10th.

SUMMER DAY CAMP 2018

THE CITY OF ROCKINGHAM PARKS AND RECREATION IS NOW ACCEPTING REGISTRATION FOR THE 2018 SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAM. THE CAMP WILL BEGIN ON MONDAY, JUNE 11TH AND CONCLUDE FRIDAY, AUG. 10TH. THE COST OF THE CAMP IS $65.00 PER WEEK, WITH ADDITIONAL $6.00 FOR INSURANCE THE FIRST WEEK ONLY. THE CAMP WILL OPERATE MONDAY – FRIDAY FROM 8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM. TO REGISTER OR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT PARKS AND RECREATION AT 895-6810 OR PAM 334-3366. A DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF SIGN UP.

 

SUMMER SWIMMING LESSONS 2018

 

The City of Rockingham Parks and Recreation is now accepting registration for the 2018 Summer Swimming Program.

 

1st Session               Mon. June 18th                 Fri. June 29th

2nd Session              Mon. July 9th                    Fri. July 20th

3rd Session               Mon. July 23rd                 Fri. August 3rd

 

Age Breakdown and Class Times are as Follow:

7 year olds and above                 10:00 am                  11:00 am

4, 5, and 6 year olds                    11:00 am                  12:00 noon

 

The cost of the lessons is $40.00 per session and anyone interested my register by contacting Parks and Recreation at 895-6810.  (Discount for two or more children)
