ROCKINGHAM — After being missing for two weeks, a teenage girl has been found.
The Rockingham Police Department announced on its Facebook page on Wednesday that 15-year-old Adrianna Sunshine Matthews has been located.
“She is safe and in good health,” the post reads. “We appreciate the community’s assistance in this matter!”
The news comes just a day after a $4,500 reward was offered for information leading to her location.
Until Wednesday, Matthews’ last known location was Williamsburg Drive in Rockingham, around 2 a.m., Jan. 8.
The post did not say where she was found.
There are still two Richmond County residents who have gone missing in recent months.
Linda Ann McCuiston was last seen near her home in the Cordova area on Oct. 11, 2024. A search of the area the weekend she went missing was unsuccessful.
Dennis Wayne Bailey was last seen Dec. 28 but wasn’t reported missing until Jan. 2. He was known to walk along Mizpah Road.
Anyone with information on the Bailey or McCuiston cases is encouraged to contact Detective Parrish with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 910-410-1117, call 911 or use the P3 Tips app.
