ROCKINGHAM — Felony charges have been filed against a woman in two counties, with accusations of stealing from her job and using a stolen bank card.
Maleigha Jae Tuner, 20, of Rockingham, is accused of taking $1,124.72 from the Speedway in Carthage, where she worked, around May 20-21.
The Carthage Police Department obtained a warrant for her arrest on May 26.
That same day, Turner allegedly used a stolen debit card to make a $26.60 purchase at Taco Factory and a $212.43 purchase at Walmart.
The Rockingham Police Department obtained an arrest warrant on June 1.
Records show Turner was arrested on both warrants June 8. She faces the following charges:
Turner was booked into the Richmond County Jail where she is being held on a combined $5,000 secured bond. Her court dates are scheduled for June 18 in Richmond County and June 19 in Moore County.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
