ELLERBE — Sammy Lovin, 70, of Ellerbe, passed away on July 9, 2020 at his home.
Sammy was born on Sept. 18, 1949 in Moore County, a son of the late Thomas Lee Lovin Jr. and Ida Culler Lovin.
Sammy loved race horses and trained them.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Lovin; and a sister, Louise Terry.
Sammy is survived by his wife, Alice Lovin; brother, Tommy Lovin (Linda); sister, Rachel Bowman (Tommy); nieces, Jennifer Richardson (Sam), Kim Mabe (Tim); and four great-nieces and one great nephew.
A graveside service will be on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Ellerbe Cemetery.
