SOUTHERN PINES — Seven more senior student-athletes from Richmond Senior High School were recognized recently for their contributions.

The Richmond boys’ and girls’ bowling teams held their senior night Thursday at the Sandhills Bowling Center. Also recognized were the conference’s other senior bowlers.

Representing Richmond this season were five Raiders – Tate Craven, Azariah Daniel, Owen Hancock, Robert Monroe and Carter Visingard – and two Lady Raiders – Skyler Collins and Jentry Denson.

Both Daniel and Hancock have been four-year members of the bowling program, while Denson has bowled the past three years. Collins, Craven and Visingard have spent the past two seasons with the team. Monroe joined the bowling program this year.

The Raiders and Lady Raiders bowled exhibition matches Thursday in preparation for the postseason.

Currently, the conference championships are planned for later this week, weather pending. The Lady Raiders will bowl Wednesday and the Raiders will bowl Thursday in Southern Pines.

Each championship will feature a team and an individual tournament. Action will begin at 2 p.m. both days.
