ROCKINGHAM — A South Carolina woman is facing a trio of felony charges after allegedly trying to kill a man in Richmond County on Thursday.
An arrest warrant alleges that 43-year-old April Alissa Ingram, of Conway, South Carolina, assaulted a Jimmy Jerome Tatum with a 2021 Toyota Rav4 and shot him with a Ruger .38 Special on Aug. 6.
Ingram was arrested and charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
She is being held without bond in the Richmond County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 20.
Online court records show Ingram filed charges against Tatum for assault on a female in 2002 and injury to personal property in both 2002 and 2003, but all three cases were dismissed.
Ingram appears to have no prior criminal convictions in North or South Carolina.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
