HAMLET – St. Paul Lutheran Church, located at 311 Marlboro Street in Hamlet, will be celebrating the birth of Christ in a Candlelight Service of Holy Communion on Christmas Eve beginning at 7 p.m.
The service will include holiday carol favorites, special music by the choir and organist Ralph Coble, a reading of Luke’s Christmas Gospel and a meditation for children and adults by Pastor John Pfisterer.
The community is invited to join Pfisterer, as he recalls the real reason for this time of celebration and joy.
On Christmas Eve morning, at 10 a.m., the church will watch and pray as the final candle on the Advent Wreath is lighted. This simple service provides a quiet time of reflection on the great things that God has done.
Pfisterer noted that, “you will always find a warm welcome and friendly hospitality at St. Paul Lutheran Church.”
“May the blessings of Christmas fill our hearts and lives each day,” Pfisterer continued. “And merry Christmas.”
